Treyten Lapcevich Scores First South Carolina 400 Triumph

TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. — Treyten Lapcevich secured his first career South Carolina 400 victory at Florence Motor Speedway on Saturday night. 

Aboard the Chad Bryant Racing No. 77 late model stock car, Lapcevich’s came alive in the second half to score the win ahead of Doug Barnes Jr. and Sam Yarbrough. Lapcevich became the first Canadian-born driver to win the event.

Jacob Heafner and Carson Loftin completed the top-five finishers. 

NASCAR Cup Series driver Josh Berry finished 25th, one lap down after leading the first portion of the event. 

Piloting the famed No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet for the first time since 2007, NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. ran as high as second before pitting with 31 laps remaining due to a mechanical issue.
