Tickets On Sale For Joe Shear Classic 200

OREGON, Wis. – The first 500 tickets for the ARCA Midwest Tour Joe Shear Classic 200 on May 2 at Madison Int’l Speedway are now on sale.

The annual event will feature the ARCA Midwest Tour, Midwest Truck Series and 602 Late Models racing for supremacy on the half-mile asphalt oval. The $10,000-to-win, 200-lap ARCA Midwest Tour race will headline a full day of racing.

Race fans will once again be able to sit in the grandstands at MIS, however local orders have restricted the event to 500 spectators in the 10,000 seat facility at this time. Once restrictions allow a greater capacity, additional tickets will then be available for purchase online, with any remaining tickets then being available at the main gate on race day.

“While we had alternate locations ready to go, we made the decision that the show must go on, and it must go on at Madison,” said Madison Int’l Speedway owner Gregg McKarns. “It is our belief and hope that the allowed attendance will increase with the next Emergency Order in early April. Our drivers, teams, fans, staff, sponsors; basically everyone involved with short track racing wants to see us open, so that’s what we are going to do.”

McKarns noted that even if restrictions stay as they are, he and his wife Angie have made the decision to go ahead with the event. Exact guidelines will be released closer to the event.

The event will be broadcast live by SPEED SPORT TV. Details regarding the broadcast will be announced at a later date.
