SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – Saturday was a good day to be a member of the Kenseth family.
On the same night that his father Matt Kenseth won the Bojangles Southern 500, Ross Kenseth drove to victory in the Pro All Stars Series South super-late-model feature at South Boston Speedway.
Kenseth took the lead from Trey Mitchell on what proved to be the final restart of the night and was up front when it counted to score the victory.
In a race plagued by a constant threat of rain, Kenseth’s third career PASS South super-late-model victory came as the event was finally halted eight laps short of the finish due to rain.
Kenseth becomes the ninth different winner in nine PASS South events held at South Boston dating back to 2006.
Kyle Grissom finished second, followed by Jay Fogleman, Preston Peltier and Kyle Moon.
