LOVES PARK, Ill. — Pesky morning rain and mist, as well as a forecast for heavier rain, forced the postponement of Sunday’s 54th annual National Short Track Championships 250 presented by Crazy Times Pub & Grub late model stock car special at Rockford Speedway.
Track crews worked hard in an attempt to dry the track, with race cars even taking some practice laps.
The 250-lap event, plus other races, including a main event for the Mid American Stock Car Series, will now take place on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m.
