TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. – Kaden Honeycutt’s second CARS Late Model Stock Tour win of the season couldn’t have come at a better time Saturday night at Florence Motor Speedway.
Honeycutt entered the race with a 10-point deficit in the series standings to Bobby McCarty, but was able to cut that down to just one with the victory.
Honeycutt was able to get around Carson Kvapil, who was driving for JR Motorsports and led 113 laps during the 125-lap race, on lap 117 and pulled away for the win.
Brandon Pierce had a season best finish of second, while Justin Johnson also had a solid run in third. Kvapil settled for fourth, with Layne Riggs finishing fifth.
McCarty, the championship leader, faded late in the race and finished eighth.
