SALEM, Ind. – Jack Dossey III has announced he will compete with the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS full-time in pursuit of the series championship and top rookie honors.
Dossey, the two-time and defending JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance champion, will begin his season April 6 at Anderson Speedway.
He’ll have some major changes to his team in 2019, as Dossey will not only drive the car, but will be his own crew chief.
“I’ve never been more excited and more ready to kick off a season,” said Dossey. “I’ve been working hard on preparation to run a full season with the ARCA/CRA Super Series. We got put in a spot about two months ago that put me in the position to become my own crew chief for the first time in my career but ultimately, I think it’s what was best for me as a driver. I’ve been learning from some of the best like Terry Senneker, Brian Campbell, Brannon Earnest and Mike Garvey, in addition to all the knowledge I’ve gained from working with both Gary St. Amant and Tim Neal over the past several seasons. I’m more than grateful to have those guys in my corner, they’ve helped me with this transition so much.”
Dossey first raced with CRA during the 2014 season with the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman, were he finished second in the Chase for the Championship and claimed the Rookie of the Year Award. In 2015 Dossey ran in a handful of ARCA/CRA Super Series events while claiming one of his two late model championships at Anderson Speedway.
In 2016 Dossey ran his first full season with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, claiming the Rookie of the Year Award and finishing sixth in series points. Dossey stepped up his game in 2017, winning the first Chase for the Championship with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, earning eight top-five and 11 top-10 finishes in the series 12 events that season. Dossey competed in four ARCA/CRA Super Series events in 2017, with a best finish of fourth in the Redbud 400 at Anderson.
In 2018 Dossey became the first JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour driver to claim back to back championships, overcoming a lot of bad luck late in the season to get a third place finish in the Season Championship event at Winchester Speedway, which tied his best finish in 2018. Dossey competed in five ARCA/CRA Super Series events in 2018 with a best finish of second in the series Labor Day Weekend event at Winchester Speedway. Dossey also competed in two ARCA Menards Series events in 2018.
“I’m pumped that I get to kick off the season at Anderson Speedway, I’ve won a lot of races there and two championships, it’s my home track and is still my favorite,” Dossey said. “I’m confident in my capabilities not only in the seat but in the pits as well. My team and I have been hard at work, I can’t thank A.J., Kenny, Pete, Brad, Bill, Mike, John and of course my mom and dad for all their dedication and long hours in the shop. I am fortunate enough to have Munns Construction, Hart’s Auto Center, Earnest Performance, Norton Transport, Senneker Performance, PFC Brakes, Hinchman Racewear, Nova Motorsports and Auto Value Parts Stores all continue their support for me into the 2019 season as well.”
Dossey will also compete in select JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour events this year.
