HICKORY, N.C. — The Throwback 276 for the zMAX CARS Tour saw plenty of fireworks Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway.
Ronnie Bassett Jr. entered the final lap in third place and ended up in victory lane in the 125-lap late model stock headliner.
Leaders Ryan Millington and Connor Hall, who had battled tooth and nail throughout the night, made contact in turns three and four with Hall spinning and Millington taking the checkered flag ahead of Bassett.
However, CARS Tour officials penalized Millington for the incident with Hall and declared Bassett the winner.
It was his first victory in the series.
Bobby McCarty started 12th and finished second.
Hall, Kade Brown and Brenden Queen completed the unofficial top five.
Jimmy Renfrew won the pro late model feature.
