Morris, Ill. — The “Stars and Cars” of the ASA Midwest Tour will roll into Grundy County Speedway on Saturday, July 8, for the 100-lap Wayne Carter Classic presented by Rod Baker Ford & D’Arcy Chevrolet.
Current Midwest Tour points leader Gabe Sommers of Plover, Wis., leads the late model series regulars into the Illinois oval to take on Grundy’s best, led by current track points leader and seven-time track champion Eddie Hoffman, a three-time Carter Classic winner, and defending track champion D.J. Weltmeyer.
Entries include former ASA Midwest Tour champion Dalton Zehr, along with touring stars Levon Van Der Geest, Justin Mondeik and Bryan Syer-Keske.
Former Wayne Carter Classic winners Paul Shafer Jr. (2020) and Ricky Baker (2017), as well as past Chicagoland track champions Anthony Danta and Blake Brown, are among the entries.
The ASA Midwest Tour will be joined by the Midwest Dash Series and the Midwest Super Cups.
