32 Drivers Set For Indy GR Cup Tripleheader

INDIANAPOLIS — Thirty-two drivers are featured on the entry list for this week’s Toyota GR Cup Series season conclusion at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Three races will wrap up the inaugural season for the single-make series the features Toyota GR86 cars and amateur drivers.

Each GR86 starts as a complete factory vehicle before GR engineers in North Carolina transform them into reliable, high-performance race cars. This signature spec series showcases the full power and potential of the GR86.

A rain out at the August Music City Grand Prix has set up a three-race finale, with events scheduled Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the 2.439-mile IMS road course.

With 11 of the 14 rounds complete, Tyler Gonzalez leads the standings by 110 points over Gresham Wagner.

Gonzalez, who drives for Copeland Motorsports, has won six of the 11 races. Wagner has a pair of victories for TechSport Racing.

A pair of Toyota Racing Development rising stars will be among the field competing at Indianapolis with ARCA and NASCAR racer Tony Breidinger and ASA STARS National Tour late model driver Gio Ruggiero in action with the duo steering the Nitro Racing entries.

All three races will be streamed live on SPEED SPORT 1 (www.speedsport1.com) and the SPEED SPORT’s LIVE From crew will be on hand with weeklong coverage of the series finale on social media and SPEEDSPORT.com.
