HICKORY, N.C. — Preston Peltier kept the Pro All Stars Series South late-model points battle close after winning the Over The Mountain 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway Saturday night.
Peltier, who was six points behind Ryan Blaney entering the event, started the race on the pole alongside Trey Mitchell, who took the initial lead over the 34-car field. Peltier settled into fourth early, but as several cautions and mechanical woes slowed the field, Peltier and Blaney took the top two spots for a lap-115 restart.
Peltier powered into the lead when the green flag waved and took the win ahead of Blaney, who has a four-point advantage in the title chase. Roger Lee Newton, Kyle Bonsignore and Jody Lavender rounded out the top five.
