Page Counts To Five During Talladega Ice Bowl

EASTABOGA, Ala. – Michael Page continued his run of dominance in the Ice Bowl at the Talladega Short Track on Sunday with his fifth-straight victory in the super late model portion of the annual event.

Page started on the pole but gave up the lead early to fellow front row starter Sam Seawright after three failed attempts to get the race started.

Seawright would lead the way until the 21st lap, which saw Seawright give up the bottom lane in an effort to make the top line work as he battled his way through traffic in turn four.

Page saw his opening and with Seawright now stuck on the top amid traffic, Page was able to move under him to take the lead. Page would go on to lead the remainder of the 50-lap feature to earn a $6,000 payday.

Seawright settled for second, with Dallas Cooper, Randy Weaver and Dillon Tidmore completing the top-five finishers.

The finish:

Michael Page, Sam Seawright, Dallas Cooper, Randy Weaver, Dillon Tidmore, Chris Jones, David Brannon, Justin Owens, Scott Crigler, Shun Thomas, Cass Fowler, Houston Spurlock, Blake Craft, Matthew Brocato, Todd Morrow, Christian Hanger, Jason Hiett, Ahnna Parkhurst, Chad Thrash, Daniel Richards, Mark Page, Landon Gentry, John Ownbey, Andy Picklesimer.
