MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Officials from the X-1R Pro Cup Series have announced that the 2013 season finale will now be held at Southern National Motorsports Park in Kenly, N.C., on Nov. 2.
The move comes on the heels of the series being forced to cancel the previously scheduled event at Rockingham Speedway.
“First off I want to thank Michael Diaz and his staff for calling us and inviting us come run at Southern National to give our teams and sponsors the final race we’ve had planned all season. It’s good to know there are still good people in the business that care,” said Jack McNelly, X-1R Pro Cup Series Director. “Southern National is a fast track with lots of room to race and a passionate fan base for short track racing making it a perfect fit for our championship contenders.”
Additional details about the event to crown the 2013 series champion will be forthcoming in the near future.
