MONROE, Wash. – For the third-straight season Preston Peltier took home the $25,000 top prize during the running of the Summer Showdown at Evergreen Speedway.

Peltier started from the pole and controlled much of the 200-lap event. He won the eighth annual running of the Summer Showdown by .306 of a second over Jason Fraser.

Fraser hounded Peltier during the final 27 laps. He nearly got by Peltier on lap 182, but the pair made contact in turn four and Fraser spun out. A caution flag on lap 192 allowed Fraser to get back to second and challenge Peliter again, but he couldn’t get by the veteran late model ace and had to settle for second.

Northwest super late model legend Garrett Evans finished third, followed by Logan Jewel and Tyson Lang.

The finish:

Preston Peltier, Jason Fraser, Garrett Evans, Logan Jewel, Tyson Lang, Tayler Riddle, Jason Gilbert, Chad Fitzpatrick, Daniel Moore, Brandon Farrington, Wyatt Gardner, Jeff Knight, Robb Touchette, Owen Riddle, Doni Wanat, Chris Davidson, Naima Lang, Derek Thorn, Kole Raz, Scott Walker, Grant Brown, Eric Schmidt, Mike Holden, John Lathrup Jr., Gracin Raz, Tyler Tanner, Dane Nissen, Bryce Bezanson, Tanner Holm.
