WINCHESTER, Ind. – Two sports which provide plenty of action for their fans will collide at Winchester Speedway this week.
The Indianapolis Fuel, a minor league hockey team for the Chicago Blackhawks, has become the presenting sponsor for the CRA Street Stock Hoosier Daddy 100 at Winchester Speedway on June 5.
Fans in attendance at the Indianapolis Fuel’s final home game of the season on Wednesday, June 2 will be able to bring their ticket stub and receive $5 off the price of admission at Winchester Speedway for the Hoosier Daddy 100.
“The Indy Fuel are proud to be the presenting sponsor for the Hoosier Daddy 100,” said Indy Fuel President Larry McQueary. “The Indy Fuel name centers itself around Indianapolis’ racing history so partnering with an iconic racetrack like Winchester Speedway was a no brainer. We look forward to being a part of the event on June 5th.”
The Hoosier Daddy 100 at Winchester Speedway on Saturday will be a crown jewel for the CRA Street Stocks. The CRA Late Model Sportsman will also join the card with a 51-lap event.
A special treat to all those in attendance is that the weekend will mark the return of the Winchester Old-Timers Reunion. More than 50 vintage cars, from various eras of racing around America, will be making laps on Winchester’s famed high banks.
Fans will also have the opportunity to take pictures and sit in some of the machines that will come off the track and onto the midway afterwards.
After all the racing is complete, a special fireworks display will be featured to help kickoff summer time in the Midwest. The Scarrette Pyrotechnics company out of Richmond, Ind., will put on an electrifying show for all fans in attendance.
Grandstands open at Winchester Speedway at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Qualifying will be held at 5:30 p.m. with racing starting at 7 p.m.
