Daniel Hemric will drive the No. 54 late model for Scott Neal Racing in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour presented by GM Performance Parts.
Neal is the defending series champion crew chief and Hemric is a former Legends Car National Champion and winner of the 2010 Legends Million.
“Daniel is just a fantastic young driver, and to be able to put him in the seat of the race car for my new team means a lot to this effort,” Neal noted. “We had the opportunity to work together at a few races during the offseason and things just really clicked. Starting my own team has been no easy task, but I believe having Daniel behind the wheel makes us a legitimate championship contender right out of the box.”
Hemric is just as excited to be the driver for the first season at Scott Neal Racing.
“From the first time I sat in a car that Scott worked on, I knew he was the guy I wanted in my corner,” the 21-year-old driver said. “Scott’s won races and championships as a driver and a crew chief, and I want to be a part of his first championship as a car owner. I can’t wait to get to the first race of the season.”BREAKING NEWS: SPEED SPORT is back in print with a new monthly format! Subscribe for just $24.95. Special offer for former subscribers.
