OXFORD, Maine — Cole Butcher battled through the field to win the 50th running of the Oxford 250 super late model race at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Butcher started on the front row, but was sent to the back for spinning polesitter Jimmy Renfrew Jr. on lap six.
Butcher kept his head down and battled his way through the field, taking the lead from Joey Doiron with 27 laps of the three-eighths-mile asphalt track remaining.
He led the rest of the way to win the prestigious event for the second consecutive year, becoming the sixth back-to-back winner of the Oxford 250.
Doiron finished second, with D.J. Shaw, Johnny Clark and Gabe Brown rounding out the top five.
