MARNE, Mich. — Kyle Busch is two-for-two in Superstar Racing Experience competition after winning his second consecutive race Thursday night at Berlin Raceway.
A veteran of many late model races at the three-eighths-mile asphalt oval, Busch took the lead from Helio Castroneves on a restart with 25 laps remaining and cruised to victory.
“The restart was really good,” said Busch. “Being here before, knowing what to expect, all that sort of stuff. I thought about restarting in fourth, and then I was like don’t change it up now. Just stick with what I’ve been doing all night.”
Brad Keselowski, who Busch punted to win last week at Pulaski County Motorsports Park, finished second.
It was Busch’s final SRX appearance of the season.
Ryan Newman, who won at Stafford Motor Speedway earlier this summer, finished third and pushed his point lead to 33 markers with two races remaining.
Defending champion Marco Andretti and Hailie Deegan rounded out the top five.
The series heads to Ohio’s Eldora Speedway next week.
The finish:
Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Ryan Newman, Marco Andretti, Hailie Deegan, Ken Schrader, Tony Stewart, Helio Castroneves, Bobby Labonte, Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, Johnny Benson Jr.
