Briscoe Slated For SRX Debut At Eldora

Chase Briscoe will line up at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway on Aug. 10 to contest the fifth Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) event of the season.

The full-time NASCAR Cup Series star will wheel the No. 57 entry, sponsored by HighPoint.com.

Briscoe, who drives the No. 14 Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing in the Cup Series, will have the chance to race alongside his team owner, Tony Stewart, on the half-mile dirt track.

“Can’t put into words how excited I am about this opportunity. I’ve never had the chance to race against the boss man Tony Stewart, until now, and to be able to do it at Eldora Speedway,” Briscoe said via Twitter.

Thursday will mark Briscoe’s debut SRX race, though he’s previously raced a NASCAR truck and dirt late model at Eldora. He will be filling in for Paul Tracy, who was recently suspended from the series.
