New Sponsor For ARCA Short Track Challenge


TOLEDO, Ohio – Protect Plus Industries, an air and water filtration manufacturer, will become the primary sponsor of the ARCA Racing Series Short Track Challenge this year.

Protect Plus has partnered with ARCA series sponsor Menards to become involved with ARCA. The B2B relationship between Menards, the country’s third largest home improvement retail chain, and Protect Plus Industries brings opportunities to promote their air and water filtration products to the Menards contractor and consumer customer base.

The ARCA Short Track Challenge is a series within the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, with drivers earning points toward a championship contested on tracks one mile or less in length. The 11 events that will make up the Short Track Challenge began with the April 9 Music City 200 from Nashville, and will conclude with ARCA’s 100th race event at Salem Speedway in September. Teams and drivers will race for the Short Track Challenge championship under a special race-only point system, and officials will count a team’s 10 best events towards the championship, throwing out each team’s worst event.

ARCA Daytona race winner John Wes Townley currently leads the Short Track Challenge point standings, through two events. Roush Fenway development driver Kyle Weatherman earned the inaugural Short Track Challenge title in 2015, along with the Scott Rookie of the Year honors.
