SALEM, Ind. – Federated Auto Parts has renewed its title sponsorship of both ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards events at Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery for the 2015 season.
The spring race, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, April 26, will be the Federated Auto Parts ARCA 200, while the fall race on Saturday night, Sept. 19, will be the Federated Car Care ARCA Fall Classic.
Federated Auto Parts is a nationally known auto parts distribution network with more than 4,000 stores across the country.
“We are certainly pleased to have the continued involvement of Federated Auto Parts with two of our biggest races of the season at Salem,” said track general manager Richard Deaton. “For many years we have enjoyed a great partnership with Federated Auto Parts, a company that is well respected in the automotive field with an extensive history of motorsports involvement.”
When ARCA converges on the small, southern Indiana city of Salem, it will mark the 97th and 98th appearances at Salem since debuting on the historic half-mile oval in 1955. Over the years, no track has appeared on ARCA’s annual schedule more than Salem has.
Veteran race car driver Ken Schrader won at Salem in 1999 and won the pole for the ARCA race in September. He announced in December that Federated Auto Parts would return as sponsor for Ken Schrader Racing in 2015.
“It’s just so neat to see all the people come out to see those ARCA races at Salem, all the support from the campers that come out and make a weekend of it,” Schrader said.
