SEEKONK, Mass – Officials from the Tri Track Open Modified Series have released multiple race dates for the upcoming season.
Seekonk Speedway will welcome the series for two events, with the $10,000 to win Open Wheel Wednesday set for Wednesday, June 29 and the Haunted Hundred set to return on Saturday, Oct. 22.
“Seekonk Speedway is the home of the Tri Track Open Modified Series,” Wayne Darling, Managing Partner of the Tri Track Open Modified Series, said. “We enjoy heading there each year and these two events have become some of the most prestigious — not only in our schedule — but in New England Modified racing. We’re excited to continue to set our dates for the new season.”
“We’re happy to welcome back Tri Track for two more exciting open-wheel modified events for the 2022 season,” Ed St. Germain, Director of Business Development at Seekonk Speedway, said. “The Tri Track Series offers some great racing at the Action Track of the East and history shows the best drivers make their way to Massachusetts for these races. With Open Wheel Wednesday and the Haunted Hundred now set, our 2022 schedule is taking shape.”
In addition to the two race dates at Seekonk, the series will also visit New Hampshire’s Monadnock Speedway on Saturday, April 30. The track is a staple on the Tri Track schedule – with two events hosted at the track during the 2021 season.
The April date for next season will be a special $10,000-to-win show.
“We’re excited to head back to Monadnock, especially for such a marquee event with a big prize on the line,” Darling said. “Monadnock has been on our schedule for many years and we love working with their staff to showcase some of the best racing, and the best modified talent, in the area.”
“We’re very excited for this event,” Michelle Cloutier, General Manager of Monadnock Speedway, said. “This is becoming a tradition here at Monadnock — to have a two-day show to open the season, with the Tri Track Open Modified Series headlining the Saturday show. The fans love having the Modifieds here and everyone will be looking forward to it.”
Series officials previously announced the tour’s inaugural stop at Thunder Road Speedbowl in Barre, Vt., which will take place on May 29. Additional race dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
