NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Ryan Preece will walk into Daytona Int’l Speedway Wednesday to begin preparation for the Daytona 500 as a winner.
The Stewart-Haas Racing NASCAR Cup Series driver won Tuesday night’s Tour-type modified feature during the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway.
Preece started third and won the 50-lap event ahead of Ron Silk, who had triumphed in the first two modified races of the weeklong event at the half-mile asphalt track.
Ronnie Williams finished third, with Anthony Nocella and Matt Hirschman rounding out the top five.
