OXFORD, Maine – Ben Ashline dominated Sunday’s American-Canadian Tour late-model event at Oxford Plains Speedway to earn his first victory with the touring series.

Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. started second and slipped by polesitter Rowland Robinson, Jr. to take the lead at the start. A caution flag 35 laps in reset the field and gave Ashline the chance he needed to make his move.

Ashline, who started 13th, used the restart to catch and eventually overtake Polewarczyk. He domianted the rest of the race, putting all but the top seven cars a lap down and winning by more than seven seconds.

Polewarczyk was second, followed by Jeff White, Brent Dragon and Austin Theriault.

The race was slowed by only four caution flags at the three-eighths-mile asphalt oval.
