Rain Forces Nashville ARCA Postponement

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Wet weather has forced officials to postpone the ARCA Menards Series Music City 200 and North-South Super Late Model Challenge 100 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville.

Both events, which were originally scheduled for Saturday, will now be held Sunday at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. The green flag for racing is set for just after 1 p.m.

Sunday’s running of the General Tire Music City 200 presented by Inspectra Thermal Solutions will mark the fifth-straight year that the ARCA Menards Series has visited the historic track.

The ARCA Menards Series and super late models were both able to complete practice on Saturday before the rain hit, with both race lineups set via practice times.

Chandler Smith was fastest in ARCA Menards Series practice and will start from the pole on Sunday. Ty Gibbs, grandson of NASCAR team owner and legendary football coach Joe Gibbs, was second. Christian Eckes, Bret Holmes and Michael Self completed the top-five.

In super late model practice, Matt Craig ended up at the top of the chart, while Josh Brock, Stephen Nasse, Donnie Wilson and Johnny VanDoorn completed the top-five.
