DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Lucas Oil has announced a multi-year extension with Daytona Int’l Speedway to continue to serve as the title sponsor of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season opener.
The lubricant company has been the backer for the ARCA event at Daytona since 2009.
The 80-lap, 200-mile race, which mixes veterans with the rising stars in stock car racing, will continue to be known as the Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire.
“We’re proud to continue our relationship with Lucas Oil as the title sponsor for the ARCA season opener,” said track president Chip Wile. “The Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire is part of an exciting first weekend of stock car racing. We look forward to continuing to work with Lucas Oil to market their brand and connect with our race fans.”
“The Lucas Oil 200 is always exciting for us because it’s a fantastic event to kickoff Daytona Speedweeks,” added Lucas Oil Director of Motorsports Tom Bogner. “Daytona is a fantastic facility and we’ve been fortunate to experience a lot of success both on the track and off of it as we head into our 11th year of sponsoring the traditional opener to the ARCA season.”
Over the years, the Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire has produced a long list of high-profile winners, including Iggy Katona, Kyle Petty, Benny Parsons, Tim Richmond, Joe Ruttman, Mike Wallace, Ryan Newman, Kyle Busch and eight-time victor Bobby Gerhart.
