DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Leilani Münter will contest an expanded ARCA Racing Series schedule for Venturini Motorsports.
Münter will drive the No. 20 VEGANSTRONG.com Toyota in eight ARCA Racing Series events, the most races she’s competed in since her series debut in 2010. She is scheduled to start Saturday’s ARCA opener at Daytona Int’l Speedway from the fifth position.
“I’m thrilled to be returning to Venturini Motorsports for eight races in the No. 20 VEGANSTRONG.com Toyota,” said Münter. “I’m excited to run three tracks I’ve never raced on before. It’s also a huge relief to me to be in a race car on a semi-regular basis; I’ve primarily had one-off race deals in ARCA. A huge thank you to A Well-Fed World and TryVeg.com for supporting me and to Venturini Motorsports for giving me fast race cars.”
In addition to Daytona, Münter will compete at Talladega Superspeedway (April 27), Charlotte Motor Speedway (May 24), Pocono Raceway (June 1), Michigan Int’l Speedway (June 8), Chicagoland Speedway (June 28), Pocono Raceway (July 27) and Kansas Speedway (Oct. 19).
An advocate for plant-based diets, solar power and animal rights, Münter has made a career racing for a cause. Her past race cars have included messages regarding renewable energy and clean energy legislation as well as award-winning documentaries The Cove and Blackfish.
