Boston Paces Daytona ARCA Testing

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Venturini Motorsports was again atop the speed charts at Daytona Int’l Speedway on Saturday, but this time with a different driver.

Justin Boston, the 2013 SCOTT Rookie of the Year, posted the quickest speed yet in the afternoon session Saturday. Boston, in the No. 25 ZLOOP Toyota, circled the 2.5-mile superspeedway in 49.019 seconds at an average speed of 183.602 mph. Justin Allison, the grandson of NASCAR legend Donnie Allison, was second fastest during the afternoon session. He circled the speedway in 49.053 seconds at 183.475 mph in a Ford fielded by Team BCR.

Spencer Gallagher was third fastest in the afternoon session, followed by defending Daytona ARCA winner John Wes Townley, Tyler Reddick, Leilani Munter, Michael Self, Scott Sheldon, Alex Guennet and Mario Gosselin. Self topped the morning session at Daytona in a Venturini Motorsports entry, clocking in at 181.704 mph.

Open testing resumes tomorrow at Daytona Int’l Speedway, the final day of the annual three-day ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards test at Daytona.
