ARCA Cancels Pocono Qualifying

LONG POND, Pa. – ARCA Menards Series officials have canceled qualifying for Friday’s General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200.

Following overnight rain, track officials started track drying efforts at 6:30 a.m. Friday, but water coming up through the track surface at the entrance to turn one. A brief shower that slowed drying efforts earlier in the morning forced ARCA Menards Series officials to postpone a planned practice session.

With little time remaining as the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series teams wait for their on-track activity to begin, ARAC officials made the decision to cancel General Tire Pole Qualifying that was scheduled for Noon EST.

Series officials still hope to have a one-hour practice Friday afternoon prior to the race, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. If so, times from that session would be used to set the field.
