Tony Stewart’s KARTAPALOOZA Set For Aug. 7

INDIANAPOLIS – Fans traveling to the 59th Annual NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores will want to add Tony Stewart’s KARTAPALOOZA to their list of activities for Aug. 7.

The Sage Fruit Company Go-Kart Spectacular returns alongside the Sage Fruit Pie Eating Contest, FETCH! for the Humane Society of Marion County, and a Putt-Putt Competition for a day of fun at Slideways Karting Center in Knoxville, Iowa.

Fans can race head-to-head with Stewart and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers Kyle Larson and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., each whom followed Stewart’s path from the dirt tracks to NASCAR.

Joining this trio are sprint car drivers Brian Brown and McKenna Haase. Limited to 50 driver entries, this competition is about skill and fun.

KARTAPALOOZA featuring the Go-Kart Spectacular raises funds that directly benefit chronically ill and physically disabled children, animals that are endangered or at-risk, and drivers injured in the sport of motor racing through the Grants Program that has distributed more than $7.5M nationally.

“My foundation is absolutely elevating programs and bringing well-deserved attention to outstanding charity partners,” Stewart said. “My racing career has been and continues to be very successful. The foundation offers me the opportunity to turn success into significance.”

Those interested in helping kids, animals and injured drivers are encouraged to head over to Slideways on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

There are two ways to enter the 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. karting competition to battle for the Sage Fruit Company Karting Trophy. Guarantee your ride by making a donation entry fee of $400 to claim one of the 50 entries.

Or, if you’re a risk taker, enter the morning’s Putt-Putt Competition as the winning team of two automatically earns entries into the karting competition. Drivers receive an event T-shirt and swag bag complete with racing merchandise and items autographed by Stewart, Larson, Stenhouse, Brown and Haase.

Register for both karting and putt-putt at TonyStewartFoundation.org and click either ‘Register to Race’ or ‘My Putt-Putt Team’.

Spectators are welcomed to attend Kartapalooza to enjoy watching the competitions, shopping at the Merchandise Tent, enjoying specialty food & drink courtesy of Sage Fruit Company and kicking back listening to a great DJ spin tunes and call the action. Gate donations of $5/person are encouraged but not required. Slideways Karting Center is providing non-stop shuttle service between Knoxville Raceway and the karting center starting at 9:30 a.m.
