Shark Racing’s Logan Schuchart announced on Wednesday that he will return to the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series next year.
The driver of the No. 1s sprint car ended the latest Outlaw season fifth in points with six wins to his credit. Among the tracks he topped, Schuchart triumphed at Eldora Speedway, Huset’s Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway, River Cities Speedway, Red River Valley Speedway and Grays Harbor Raceway.
“With 2023 in the books…it’s full steam ahead towards 2024,” Schuchart wrote Wednesday on X.

Next year will be Schuchart’s 11th season as a full-time Outlaw. His inaugural campaign with Shark Racing, the team owned by his grandfather and Hall of Famer Bobby Allen, was in 2014. The pair finished the 65-race season 12th in the standings.

“I was pretty young when my grandfather (Bobby Allen) was racing, but he’d take me to the races and we’d talk about racing, and I’d hear the stories about him,” Schuchart said in a World of Outlaws press release. “And the World of Outlaws were the best of the best. Since I was a little kid, if I could get to the point where I won World of Outlaws championships, that would mean more to me than going to NASCAR and to win the Daytona 500 or something like that.
“Sprint car racing has been a big part of my heart since I was a young kid, and if you could be the best of the World of Outlaws, it doesn’t get much cooler than that. That’s where I want to be. That’s part of the decision making that brings me to where I am. I think the Outlaws create the best drivers.”
Over the years, Schuchart and Allen have honed in on their craft, racking up 40 total wins over the last eight years.
Schuchart’s career-best points showing with the World of Outlaws was a runner-up finish in 2020.
