KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Aaron Reutzel and David Gravel will share the front row for Saturday night’s 59th annual NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals feature.
Reutzel was high point man on Wednesday night with 487 points and he’ll start from the pole with Thursday night winner and top point earner for the night David Gravel alongside. Reutzel finished fourth last year.
Driving for the Ohio-based Neumeister Racing team, Joey Saldana, who had a steady performance all night on Thursday, will start third. Tim Shaffer, who won the Knoxville Nationals in 2011, starts fourth.
The third row features Parker Price-Miller and defending Nationals winner Brad Sweet.
Tim Kaeding and Paul McMahan, who will become the seventh driver to start 20 Knoxville Nationals features will start from row three.
The remaining 10 drivers locked into Saturday night’s feature are Brent Marks, Daryn Pittman, Wednesday night winner Trey Starks, Matt Juhl, Cory Eliason, Ian Madsen, Sheldon Haudenschild and Lance Dewease.
James McFadden, Gio Scelzi, Rico Abreu and Donny Schatz ranked 17ththrough 20thin the standings and will fill the first two rows of Saturday night’s B main.
