Rain Stops Opening Night Of Jackson Nationals

JACKSON, Minn. – The AGCO Jackson Nationals got off to a wet start on Thursday evening at Jackson Motorplex.

A storm rolled in over the track following World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series heat races, forcing the remainder of the Thursday program to be postponed. The program will be completed prior to Friday’s program at the track.

Heats were won by Kasey Kahne, Tim Shaffer, Matt Juhl and Shane Stewart. Austin McCarl drew the pole for the dash, which was not completed before the rain arrived. Scotty Thiel set overall quick time with a fast lap of 12.807 seconds around the half-mile dirt oval.
