Robbie Price will be back in the Sides Motorsports No. 7s, marking his first full season with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.
Price joined Sides Motorsports in the spring of 2022 and finished out the season after car owner Jason Sides was sidelined because of knee and hip problems.
“I’m really excited for it,” Price said. “It’s been a while since someone from the Northwest has been out on the tour. I want to be able to run a full deal and nobody from where I’m from has run the tour let alone 90 percent of the tracks we go to. I’ve always wanted to run the Outlaws deal. That’s something I can put on my list of achievements.”
Price highlighted this season with fifth-place outings at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, N.D., and at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash. He also made the dash a handful of times and found better consistency toward the end of the season.
“Seat time is the biggest thing and is one thing that is the hardest things to get,” Price said. “I had a lot of fun last year and I felt we had some decent runs. I’m hoping starting off the year we can keep our momentum going from last year. Getting better on the big tracks and focusing on running well on the smaller tracks, which is more of my wheelhouse, are goals of mine.”
Sides is also aiming to compete in select races throughout the season.
“We’re excited to have Robbie back with the team and look forward to him taking another step forward as we return to some tracks where he saw for the first time last year,” he said. “It’s tough to show up to a new track and be competitive right off the bat with the World of Outlaws. I think we saw improvement on some of the tracks we went to a second or third time last year compared to his debut. We’re both eyeing that continued development next season.
“As for me, it’s been tough being out of the seat since May. I’m not planning on running full time next year, but will be racing in some events. I’m excited for this role as a car owner watching an up-and-coming driver in Robbie embark upon his first full season with the Outlaws and then getting to log some laps on my own every now and again.”
The season will commence for Sides Motorsports at the famed DIRTcar Nationals in Barberville, Fla., in February.
