Carson Macedo has been released from the hospital following an accident during the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series feature at Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night.
Jason Johnson Racing posted an update on social media on Sunday morning.
“Carson Macedo was released and did walk out of the Hospital early this morning! Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers!”

During the 25-lap feature, Macedo went head-on into the wall in turns three and four, sending the No. 41 end-over-end before coming to a rest.
The red flag was displayed, then Macedo climbed from his car and walked with assistance to the ambulance, where he was transported to a local hospital.
After an accident tonight at Knoxville, Carson Macedo walked, with assistance, to the ambulance and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
