CONCORD, N.C. — With a potential championship in sight, David Gravel and Big Game Motorsports are already set to challenge for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series title again in 2025.

The duo will return to the series for their fifth consecutive year together.

“Hopefully we can continue history. When somebody is a past champion, they tend to get on a roll, and I feel like I’m primed to do it and so is my team,” Gravel said. “Really looking forward to the future. I’m hoping to build and grow the sport together and continue to push the Outlaws to be the premier series and continue the legacy of the World of Outlaws.”

Before then, Gravel and Tod Quiring’s Big Game team will try to hold on to their 74-point advantage during the season-ending World of Outlaws World Finals this week.

Gravel and the No. 2 team have put together an unforgettable 2024. They wasted no time in getting their first win of the year, topping night two of the season opening Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park. That was the first of what’s become 14 checkered flags on the World of Outlaws campaign this year.

The highlight of their 2024 so far was Gravel’s first Kings Royal crown in July at Eldora Speedway. Gravel also helped deliver Big Game their 100th Series win as a team in May, and then Gravel reached the same mark himself two months later. Quiring is the sixth owner to reach triple digits while Gravel became the eighth driver. Gravel’s 5.0 average finish leads the Series this year.

Overall, Gravel and Big Game have won 44 races together since joining forces in 2021.

“It’s been great,” Gravel said of his success with Big Game Motorsports. “Thankfully, over the last couple years we’ve been able to have some marquee wins. This year picking up those wins at Eldora was huge. Leading the Series in wins and kind of being on top of the points for most of the year is definitely something we’re very proud of. It’s fun right now with this Big Game team.”

Once this season wraps up, the focus shifts to making 2025 even better as Gravel embarks on another tour with the World of Outlaws.

“I’ve been a very lucky guy. I’ve been able to check off the crown jewel events and hopefully will be able to do that with a championship and hopefully be on the list of multi-time champions. We’re going to continue to put our heads down, work hard, and put our best foot forward every day.”
