WEEDSPORT, N.Y. – When the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series makes its return to Weedsport Speedway for the Empire State Challenge on Aug. 1, it will be presented by A-Verdi Storage Containers.
The highly anticipated visit by the Outlaws will be the first to Weedsport since July 29, 2018, when Brent Marks led all 35-laps and sped to a $10,000 victory over Sheldon Haudenschild, Jacob Allen, Brad Sweet and David Gravel.
With the World of Outlaws season on a temporary pause this spring, defending series champion Brad Sweet holds a slim edge in the series championship over Logan Schuchart, Daryn Pittman, Donny Schatz and Carson Macedo following three events at Volusia Speedway Park in February.
