Defending Knoxville Nationals winner Brad Sweet came up short on Thursday night, finishing second to Gravel. Sweet, who starts his Kasey Kahne Racing No. 49 sixth, has won a career-best 12 World of Outlaws features this season, including last month’s $175,000-to-win Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway. It will be his eighth A-main start.
