Driving the snazzy Jason Johnson Racing No. 41, David Gravel won the Capitani Classic on Sunday night at Knoxville Raceway and came back to win Thursday’s preliminary feature and put Bobbi Johnson’s car on the front row three years after her late husband, Jason, won the event.
Gravel had a perfect qualifying night in 2017, but blew an engine while leading the main event. It will be his eighth consecutive main event.
