VIDEO: Pursley Talks Nerves For USAC Silver Crown Debut

Daison Pursley’s sophomore season on USAC’s non-wing sprint car trail has gotten off to a good start.

After spending last season with KO Motorsports — the first team to give him a shot at wheeling a non-wing sprint car after his spinal injury in 2021 — he took over Jake Swanson’s seat at Team AZ Racing prior to the 2024 campaign.

So far, Pursley has earned four top-10 finishes in six starts.

Looking ahead, he plans to run the full non-wing sprint car season with Team AZ, as well as a dirt Silver Crown schedule. The Oklahoma native will also chase the USAC national midget championship with Chad Boat Industries.

Pursley sat down with “On The Drive” podcast hosts Grace Woelbing and Taylor Ferns during the sprint car season opener at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Fla., to discuss his thoughts on the various USAC divisions he runs in, as well as his nerves for his eventual Silver Crown debut.
