USAC/CRA Adds Tulare Event To Schedule

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – AMSOIL USAC-CRA Sprint Car Series Director Chris Kearns has announced an addition to the 2013 schedule.

On May 18, the traditional 410 sprint cars will compete at Tulare’s Thunderbowl Raceway, making a total of 23 events on the calendar. The 10th USAC-CRA season will kickoff on March 1 with the two day Copper On Dirt at Canyon Speedway Park.

Steve Faria’s lightning fast third-mile facility last showcased the regional series in 2010. On May 30, Blake Miller claimed the Salute To Indy victory in Mark Priestley’s No. 7 Bullet. Piloting his No. 29 BK Motorsports Maxim, Bud Kaeding won the Nov. 13 co-sanctioned Pacific Coast Nationals.

Since 2007, Cory Kruseman, Matt Mitchell, Garrett Hansen, and Jon Stanbrough have also scored USAC-CRA victories at Thunderbowl Raceway.
