VENTURA, Calif. — Teenager Ryan Timms was the headliner during qualifying action for the USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series Friday night at Ventura Raceway.
Timms won the Rod End Supply Dash that capped off the night’s activities in preparation for the ARP 81st Running of the Turkey Night Grand Prix on Saturday.
Timms won the 15-lap event, beating series point leader Logan Calderwood to the checkered flag, with Matt Mitchell, Charles Davis Jr. and Mitchell Moles rounding out the top five.
Heat race winners for the 49-car field were Chase Johnson, Verne Sweeney, Mitchel Moles, Calderwoodj, Brody Fuson and Kyle Edwards.
