DUQUOIN, Ill. – Saturday’s USAC Silver Crown Series Ted Horn 100 at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds has been postponed to Monday morning because of rain.
The ARCA Menards Series race at the southern Illinois facility remains as scheduled on Sunday.
USAC Silver Crown practice will be held from 10 to 11:10 a.m. Central Standard Time on Monday with qualifying at 11:30 a.m.
Precipitation began Saturday morning and is forecasted throughout the day, moving the 100-mile event to the daylight for the first time since 2002.
Thirty-five USAC Silver Crown drivers have entered for the Ted Horn 100. Six previous event winners headline the field, including Shane Cottle (2007), Brian Tyler (2008), Kody Swanson (2010 and ‘17), Chris Urish (2013), Shane Cockrum (2014 and ‘15) and Chris Windom (2016 and ‘18).
Swanson and Windom are among the five past USAC Silver Crown champions in the field. Ken Schrader, Jerry Coons Jr. and reigning champ Justin Grant are the remaining three.
The event will accompany the 27th Annual Bill Oldani Memorial Prelims for UMP Modifieds.
On Sunday, ARCA qualifying begins at 4:15 p.m. with the green flag slated for 8:05.
