Rutherford Is The Man In Hanford


HANFORD, Calif. – Troy Rutherford drove to victory in Saturday’s USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series feature at Kings Speedway.

Rutherford grabbed the lead at the start of the 30-lap feature, but soon fell into a battle with Danny Faria Jr. for the race lead. Faria grabbed the lead briefly on lap 15, but two laps later Rutherford retook command.

Once back out in front, Rutherford was unbeatable as he held for his first victory of 2013.

Faria ended up second, followed by Markus Niemela, Bud Kaeding and Austin Liggett.
