Robert Wilson Racing has acquired Legacy Autosport chassis FE001 in preparation for the upcoming USAC Silver Crown racing season.
“Legacy Autosport made their presence known at the final race of 2022 with a 3rd place finish in the USAC Silver Crown event at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Race way Park,” Team Principal Robbie Wilson said. “RWR is showing its confidence in this new chassis by signing on as the first customer.”
Veteran driver Billy Wease will pilot the RWR/Legacy/Chevy No. 60 in all seven of the USAC Silver Crown pavement races in 2023.
RWR will focus attention on the USAC Silver Crown pavement races for 2023 with a goal of contending for the USAC Silver Crown Championship in 2024.
A rigorous testing program begins in early March with both off-track and on-track testing. The first event on the schedule is the 70th anniversary Hoosier Hundred at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on April 23.
