Kruseman Tops Ventura Midget Thriller


VENTURA, Calif. – Cory Kruseman scored a thrilling Honda USAC Western Midget Series victory Saturday night at Ventura Raceway over Ronnie Gardner.

Gardner led the opening eight laps of the 30-lap feature, but Kruseman soon arrived on the scene. Kruseman took the lead on lap nine, but Gardner didn’t go away. Gardner chased him until lap 29, taking the lead just before the white flag waved. Kruseman fought back on the final lap, edging Garnder at the finish for the victory.

Nic Faas was third, followed by Jake Swanson and Bobby Michnowicz.
