Gardner Conquers Lemoore Midgets


LEMOORE, Calif. — Defending Honda USAC Western Midget Series champion Ronnie Gardner won Saturday night’s feature at Lemoore Raceway.

Gardner led the first 18 laps before giving up the lead to fast qualifier Trey Marcham. Gardner, however, battled back and regained the top spot on lap 25 and led the final six laps.

Marcham finished second with Randi Pankratz, Heath Duinkerken and Scott Pierovich rounding out the top five.
