MOHAVE VALLEY, Ariz. — Kyle Cummins captured the top prize in Saturday night’s 57th Western World Championships at Mohave Valley Raceway.
Cummins started the 30-lap Avanti Windows & Doors USAC-CRA Sprint Car Series feature from fourth spot and took the lead from outside front row starter R.J. Johnson on lap six.
Cummins led the remainder of the distance for the victory.
Friday night winner Kevin Thomas Jr. started fifth and chased Cummins under the checkered flag.
C.J. Leary was the fast qualifier for the 42-car field with a lap of 14.089 seconds and he finished third.
Johnson came home fourth, while J.J. Yeley drove his dad Jack’s sprint car from 18th starting spot to finish fifth.
