Bryson Joins Abacus For Upcoming Races

INDIANAPOLIS — Abacus Racing announced Kaylee Bryson will be back behind the wheel of the No. 58 midget as a teammate to Logan Seavey for upcoming USAC events in California and for the January Chili Bowl Nationals.

“I really liked working with the team during the BC39. I felt like we got along well

right away, and we had good results. Making the A-Main was the goal, and I was very

happy when we accomplished that,” said Bryson. “Brent (Cox, Team Principal) had talked about doing some more races, and right after the final feature at Indy, he said, ‘How about a few races in California and the Chili Bowl?’ and I was like that sounds great.”

“Well, first of all, Kaylee gave myself and Abacus our first win (when she won her qualifying race) of any kind at IMS and that was something that was very special to me and the team. The team really liked working with her from the start, so it was a natural fit to get her some more races while we also prepare for the Chili Bowl,” Cox said.

Bryson stated she likes both Placerville Speedway and Ventura Raceway, which host November USAC events.

“When I got in the car at Indy, I was bit rusty, but the car was really good and I

just needed to trust it more and more as my laps accumulated,” she said. “To be able to run Placerville and Ventura, and to be part of the Hangtown 100 as well as Turkey Night are the kind of races you really like as a racer.”

Both races will help prepare Bryson and the team for the Chili Bowl.

“The Chili Bowl has been very good to me, and I am excited to get back there in January,” Bryson said. “I have won the Tulsa Shootout, and one of my main racing goals is to win the Chili Bowl. I believe with Abacus I have a great chance to win. They had three cars here last year, and put one in the A-Main, and the other two made the B Mains, so I like our chances.”
