PETALUMA, Calif. — Alex Schutte passed David Prickett on the 12th lap and never looked back to win the annual Jack London Bash, which was co-sanctioned by the Bay Cities Racing Ass’n and USAC Western States Midget Series at Petaluma Speedway Saturday night.
At the start of the main, Prickett took the lead with Daniel Anderson a close second. Schutte from Redding started inside row three and worked his way to second by lap nine.
Once he got past race long leader Prickett he pulled a straightaway lead to win driving his Spike/Esslinger. Prickett raced second in the Neverlift Motorsports Spike/AMS Chevy after a spirited battle with Hanford’s Michael Faccinto who finished third driving the Dodenhoff Racing Spike/Dodenhoff.
2017 BCRA Champion Maria Cofer finished fourth with Frankie Guerrini III rounding out the top five.
Clayton Ruston set quick time at 15.339.
