$10,000 To Winner Of Turkey Night Grand Prix

VENTURA, Calif. – The 80th running of the ARP Turkey Night Grand Prix will pay a winner’s share of $10,000 for the feature winner of the storied USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship event on Nov. 27 at California’s Ventura Raceway.

ARP, a world leader in fastener technology, is the title sponsor for the for the famed 98-lap Turkey Night Grand Prix race at the fifth-mile dirt oval that sits right on the beach. The event dates back to the origins of midget racing and maintains its prestige today as one of the crown jewels of dirt track auto racing.

“ARP is proud to be part of the history and of a race that dates back to 1934 and has produced so many great winners,” said Chris Raschke, director of sales and marketing for ARP.

For the first time in 2021, the Turkey Night Grand Prix will be contested on Nov. 27, with practice and sprint car prelims the night before on Friday, Nov. 26.

The race will serve as the season finale for the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Midget Series.

Among the legends who’ve been victorious at the Turkey Night Grand Prix are Indianapolis 500 winners Bill Vukovich, Johnnie Parsons, A.J. Foyt and Parnelli Jones, plus multi-time National Champion Tony Bettenhausen, son Gary Bettenhausen, 111-time USAC National Midget winner Mel Kenyon, Bubby Jones and eight-time Turkey Night winner Ron Shuman.

IndyCar, NASCAR and USAC Triple Crown champ Tony Stewart has won at Turkey Night as has fellow USAC Triple Crown winner Dave Darland, Bryan Clauson and current NASCAR stars Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell.
